Local Outreach

Harvest Sound International is located right in the heart of two inner city communities called  Jo-Johnston & Andrew Jackson in Nashville TN. Over the last 25 years, through worship, prayer, and hands on compassion we have seen these communities transform. Our weekly outreach to these communities is Meal Of Hope. Other local missions include LOVE BONNAROO, Prison Ministry, and The Jesus Corner Outreach.

MEAL OF HOPE

Meal of Hope is a weekly meal and church service to the homeless and lower-income community of inner-city Nashville. For over twenty years, Harvest Sound has hosted this dinner every Thursday night in the Foundry with the vision of not only serving food but giving hope. Volunteers arrive at 5pm. Luke 14:13-14 “But when you give a banquet or reception, invite the poor, the disabled, the lame, and the blind, and you will be blessed because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

LOVE BONNAROO

During the nationally-known music festival in Manchester, TN, several churches and ministries pull together to minister on the grounds of Bonnaroo. There are several tents that host worship, prophetic ministry, dream interpretation, personalized songs and art, physical healing, and more. The ministering teams also evangelize and love the festival participants practically with filtered water, sunscreen, and aloe vera. This outreach is once a year; June 16 – June 19, 2022

PRISON MINISTRY

Over the past 10 years we've had the opportunity to regularly take a Harvest Sound team into the local maximum security prison to minister. We worship, share testimonies, pray, and have time for ministry to encourage and equip inmates with the gospel.

INNER CITY OUTREACHES

Inner City Outreaches are focused on communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ in a digestible way to the families of our inner-city community through music, skits, games, and food. These outreaches are scheduled throughout the summer months.

cambodia, 2020

In February 2020, Harvest Sound did a tour throughout the war-stricken nation of Cambodia. For two weeks, the team visited several places including factories where the low-income workers spend most of their time, equipping and encouraging the church through workshops, times of activation, and worship nights. Harvest Sound team member Ahriel Puckett shares a testimony from her time there:

"I experienced poverty like I have never seen, yet I experienced kindness and generosity unlike any other culture I have witnessed. The Khmer people have a kind and gentle spirit despite the tragic genocide and resulting obstacles in economy and society they have had to walk through. God is using this culture even today, to humble me, to soften my heart and teach me that true generosity is having an open heart and forgiving beyond the pain someone has caused me."

SWITZERLAND, 2019

In February 2019, Harvest Sound did a tour throughout the beautiful nation of Switzerland. For two weeks, the team visited several cities(Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Luzern) equipping and encouraging the church through workshops, times of activation, and worship nights. Harvest Sound team member Candace Notestine shares a testimony from an outreach at a refugee camp in an undisclosed location:

"There were many refugees from different parts of the world living together in this location. Each time you spoke to someone, they had huge smiles on their faces. The kids were especially sweet and very quick to play. We took time to do art, dance, sports, and music workshops. How beautiful it was to watch them come alive! It was a privilege to be able to bless them and let them know that God cares."
